I just cut my nails really short. What nail polish colors would look good?

~ Dark Purple / Eggplant


~ Midnight Blue [OPI 'Opening Night']

Anything dark looks good. I own all of the colors above, which is why I am recommending them. You can find the same general colors at the drugstore as well.
Maybe like a dark purple, or if you're kinda tannish, a black perhaps? Or you can try gray, I've done gray before. Don't do green, I think that's ugly :[ ..Maybe something in between? Navy blue?
I have really short nails too. You can paint your nails any color. I would recommend cool colors like purple, dark blue, dark gray, or dark green.

but black does look nice, but you have to paint them every day because it looks awful if they chip
